For St. Paddy’s or my fellow Slytherins.. it’s all sooo good!

If you’ve ever tasted the delicious butterbeer at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, you know that there is something addictive about the sweet, fizzy, creamy drink that I miss SO MUCH. There are a lot of copycat recipes out there for this yummy concoction, but I think this one is the best and the easiest I’ve tried!

Being a proud Slytherin, and also a proud Irish girl, I am dying this gorgeous drink GREEN to show my colors! Perfect for St Patrick’s Day, or your next Harry Potter party, my Green Butterscotch Beer is best served in steins for that authentic feeling.

Ingredients:

  • 1 Liter, or 3 cans, Chilled Cream Soda
  • 1 Pump Caramel Syrup (I’m using Torani)
  • 1/4 tsp Butter Flavoring
  • 1 Cup Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 1/4 Cup Butterscotch Ice Cream Topping
  • 1/4 Cup Confectioner’s Sugar
  • Green food coloring

Instructions:

For foam: Whip cream on high until soft peaks form. Slowly add powdered sugar, continuing to mix on a low speed. Add butterscotch, and turn speed up, whipping on high until stiff peaks form.

For drink: Mix cream soda, caramel syrup, butter flavoring and a few drops green food coloring in a pitcher. Pour into mugs, and top with foam.

Serve cold.
